The Technological Evolution of Engines and Their Relationship with Lubricants

What is the relationship between the Evolution of Lubricants and the Evolution of Automotive Engines, and how is this conducted at TEXSA DO BRASIL as the Lubricant Industry?

We have all followed since the 90s with the first world event on Environmental Preservation (CONFERENCIA RIO 92), which the world woke up and started a long way towards a Big Problem:

  • That the Preservation of the Planet was imperative for the continuity of life on it!!
  • That one of the main factors was the Greenhouse Gases and their substantial reduction, as well as the Reduction to practically “zero” in the emission level of Particles and Metals in the atmosphere, this so that we can continue living and preserving our Blue Planet, called EARTH .
  • Well, from the second half of the 90s, the concept of Internal Combustion Engines changed and these evolved gradually, leading to Radical changes that in the last 30 years, current engines have nothing to do TECHNOLOGICALLY with the old carbureted engines that have been produced over more than 90 years!
  • With this, the technology of fuels and lubricants had to change radically and today the lubricants that serve our engines, especially from the year 2007, have in their "Gene", a new paradigm - "LUBRICANT IS TODAY A LIQUID PART OF THE ENGINE" and no longer just a mere oil to lubricate and prevent the engine from seizing!!
  • Thus, if we use oils from the 60s to those produced in the early 2000s, in these engines produced today, we simply cause, in a short time, the irreversible breakdown of these new engines.
  • Where does TEXSA come in as Indústria de Lubricantes and a few other national companies like it that are rowing in the same direction and that have the same line of action as the Multinational Giants, which are directly linked to the development of projects for these new engines!
  • TEXSA, even though it is a small-scale manufacturing industry, is constantly in contact with Assemblers, participates in congresses and exchanges technology with the outside world and thus produces its products within the global lubricant regulations as well as the ANP (Organ REGULATOR of the Lubricants and Fuels market). This is only possible by investing heavily and having a Chemical Laboratory (the largest in the south of Brazil), in addition to highly qualified professionals working in this laboratory and also, including more than US$ 1 million in state-of-the-art equipment to control and monitor each phase. , from the receipt of each one of the raw materials, additives, base oils, etc., to the systematic verification of each production phase, from formulation and blending, to its final bottling in the different types of bottles it delivers to its market, in addition to of maintaining control over each batch produced, retaining samples of each product and each production batch for 72 months, which allows tracking quality in the field. It is for all these reasons that TEXSA, despite not yet being a lubricant as well known as the Large Multinationals, is one of the few among the small ones that is committed to the development of FIRST-LINE PRODUCTS IN PERFORMANCE and, with the level of TECHNOLOGY and QUALITY that they owe nothing to those of the Large Multinationals. Only a company that BREATHES TECHNOLOGY AND QUALITY 24 hours a day can have its products APPROVED by a GIANT ASSEMBLER such as DAIMLER BENZ (MERCEDES), which granted us, after a long journey of 2 years, an APPROVAL for our TEXSA SUPER TURBO PLUS Product SAE 15W-40 CI-4 AT STANDARD MB 228.3, as we can see below!!!
